We used to go camping here all the time when I was a kid. It's a beautiful secluded little spot with spacious campgrounds for RVs and trailers. They have bathrooms on-site. They also USED to have this amazing well in the center of the campsite that literally had the best, sweetest tasting water I've ever had. You think water tastes like water? Wrong. This Creede water was amazing. Sadly, last time I went, the well had been turned off or was closed.
This place was amazing. It was beautiful, quiet, and serene. Small, but very well maintained and laid out. I personally liked the small cozy feel it had. The managers were amazing. We had a large group and we stayed for 5 nights and I couldn't have expected anything more from this place. Firewood, friendliness and you just felt safe. Great place to pass through or just stop and stay a while. Close enough to town in case you forgot anything, but far enough away that you didn't realize it. Such a great place I will definitely be staying here again when I visit Colorado.
Quick stop to try and get a shot of the river. Surprisingly very cut off from the road, you can't see it all and there's very little noise that travels down to the campground
We stayed 2 nights and loved it! Close to town, quiet, right on the river. It is small only 15 sites but well laid out and well maintained.
