We had two excellent visits to Last Chance Mine this year. We came with the entire family including kids. On the second visit we got to see the inside of the mine and under the expert guidance of Jack and his staff got a first hand view of what mining was really like here. This was the most fascinating, hands-on and matter of fact mining tour I have ever been to. I learned a ton and left with deep respect for the miners of the past and present.
Our first trip up, we got there right at 5, but the worker there let us drive on up and gave us a brief summary and pamphlet to come back the next day. Very very nice! The next day we took the very informative tour, and the young man really was a great speaker. Then, we went prospecting with the worker we met before and she was so encouraging. I admire the purpose of Jack's and appreciate meeting him. Thank you for a great experience! I would recommend taking this journey to help restore history.

Great mine and mission. Staff was very helpful and friendly when we went last year. Hopefully we can make it up before fall this year - worth a revisit.
Has been amazing. Jack is sincerely dedicated to his restoration of the old buildings. He will accomplish as much as possible. I'm partial because I'm the woman in his life now. I see his loyalty to LCM. I encourage anyone in this area to stop by and see for themselves.
