Food is great and service was even better.
The place is amazingly wonderful , The lodging on the River is something i can never get to much of especially at Antlers Lodge it has wonderful atmosphere and your family too will have the best memories ever ,,
We have been to Antlers many times and the food and service has been excellent. Tonight was different. We had a 6:30 reservation on the patio. It took 45 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated 20 minutes went by and nobody came by to serve us. We raised this to the staff's attention and the owner was within earshot and did not get involved or seem to care about our negative experience. It is a shame ownership is not more involved to ensure customers are having an enjoyable dining experience.
Dinner menu offers exceptional quality and choices. Flawless preparation and presentation. Breakfast has a more limited menu, but as with dinner, great quality of ingredients, preparation and presentation.
The ambiance sitting on the deck overlooking the River can't be matched locally. You have to remember this restaurant is off the beaten path, and they do a great job with the ingredients that are available to them. Waiters/waitresses have good personalities, and usually have a second job in town. If you attend the theater in Creede you might recognize your waitstaff up on stage. If you compare this restaurant to downtown Denver the food might lack a little. But in downtown Denver you don't have the Rio Grande River flowing a few yards from your table.
